DAEMON Tools Lite

With DAEMON Tools you can back up your physical CD/DVD/HD DVD/Blu-ray discs into "virtual discs" or so called "disc image" files, which run directly on your hard drive. You can also work with images created by other burning programs! DAEMON Tools supports variety of image types. Use CD/DVD image converter to have one format images in your Image Catalog!
1. Emulate virtual CD/DVD-ROM/HD DVD and Blu-ray drives
DAEMON Tools Lite [Commercial] enables you to emulate up to 4 CD/DVD virtual drives on your PC. Virtual drives will appear in your OS just like real ones. CDex

CDex can extract the data directly (digital) from an Audio CD, which is generally called a CD Ripper or a CDDA utility. The resulting audio file can be a plain WAV file (useful for making compilation audio CDs) or the ripped audio data can be compressed using an audio encoder. Many encoders are supported.
WAV files on the hard drive can be converted to a Compressed Audio File (and vice-versa). CDex also supports many audio file tag formats like the ID3V1 and ID3V2 tags, which can be automatically inserted as part of the ripping process.

Ape2CD is a tool that tries to make APE file burning a breeze, offering a reliable burning engine and a user-friendly approach to handle the task.

There’s not much to do once you launch the application, as Ape2CD has been designed to be fast and easy to use, so all options are grouped in the main and single window.

Users are thus prompted to pick the APE and the necessary CUE files, while the application also provides two dedicated options to input album and artist information.

There are no settings to play with beside the ones available in this window, which means that you’re only allowed to pick the burner and the writing speed.

ISO Workshop

ISO Workshop is a free application specifically designed to facilitate disc image management, conversion and burning operations. The program has a very simple user interface and enables you to make ISO images, extract specific files and folders from disc images, create disc backups by copying disc contents to an ISO or BIN image file, convert different disc image files into the ISO or BIN format and, of course, burn ISO and CUE images to blank discs.

Burn4Free

Burning CDs and DVDs is no longer an issue since there are so many powerful software solutions on the market, but new tools keep coming and they promise to offer many extra goodies.

Burn4Free is one of these utilities, one that is able to create data and audio CDs and DVDs, but in the same time, it can also handle ISO images, just like many other disc burners on the market.

As soon as you finish installing the software, you will get to meet an easy to use interface, not too good looking but rather more practical.

The application supports drag and drop, so you just have to add the files you wish to burn in the main window and you are pretty much ready to go. Plus, Burn4Free has a so-called 'Fly Window', which is more like a floating icon that lets you drop files into your current project on the go.

The program supports a wide variety of audio formats, including WAV, WMA, MP3, MP2, MP1 and OGG. The optical discs Burn4Free can write on are the ones you may be well accustomed with: CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW and DVD-RAM.

As it would be expected from such a software, this utility can create ISO compilations and either burn them to disc or store them in a location you specify.

There are some preferences to be customized as well, but the options are not too well organized, so you may have to spend some time in this side of the application.

All things considered, Burn4Free does a pretty decent job as it can help you create new discs and ISO images with minimal effort. The tool comes with a decent feature pack and the easy of use can make it appropriate even for less experienced users.
